About these terms

These Terms of Service govern use of the Choreo website, application, and related services provided by Dance to the Rhythm of Your Heart, doing business as National Desi Dance League (“NDDL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

When you accept these terms or use Choreo after being presented with them, you agree to follow them. If you act for a team or organization, you must have authority to do so. If you cannot legally agree on your own, a parent, guardian, or other legally authorized person must agree where required. Do not use the service if you do not agree.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Separate NDDL registration, competition, judging, or other service terms continue to apply to those activities; these terms do not replace them.

Accounts and team access

Provide accurate account information, keep sign-in credentials and verification codes private, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.

Team administrators are responsible for managing their workspace, roster, invitations, and access appropriately. Dancer access depends on current team membership and assignments. Having a link, a roster entry, or a Choreo account does not by itself authorize access to every team or set.

Some team-owner accounts share a sign-in identity with the NDDL portal. Password or other credential changes may affect both services. Do not transfer a shared account to someone else without the authority and permissions needed for all services connected to it.

Your choreography and media

As between you and NDDL, you retain the rights you hold in choreography, formations, audio, videos, roster information, and other material you submit (“Your Content”). These terms do not transfer ownership of Your Content to NDDL or give you ownership of someone else’s work.

You give NDDL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, copy, transmit, display, and technically process Your Content only as reasonably needed to operate Choreo for you and your authorized team, including creating playback versions, saving backups, and carrying out analysis you request. Our service providers may exercise that permission only as needed to provide those services.

This permission does not authorize us to publish your private team materials in marketing or use them to train AI models. Any such use would require a separate basis and any permissions required by law. Permission to process retained copies continues only for the purposes and retention described in our Privacy Policy.

Permissions and people in recordings

Only submit material you have the right to use and share. You are responsible for obtaining required permissions for music, recordings, choreography, roster information, and people who appear in uploaded media, including parent or guardian permission where applicable.

Access to a song, a streaming subscription, a competition registration, or a team invitation does not automatically grant the rights needed to upload, copy, analyze, or share that material in Choreo. Your use must respect copyright, privacy, publicity, and other applicable rights.

Do not use Choreo to upload information or recordings that legally require consent or other authorization unless that requirement has been satisfied. Accepting these terms is not a substitute for that authorization.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Access another account, team, recording, or set without permission, or bypass access controls.
  • Upload unlawful, exploitative, threatening, infringing, or otherwise rights-violating material.
  • Use Choreo for harassment, covert surveillance, or unauthorized identification of people.
  • Upload malware, disrupt the service, abuse invitations or sign-in emails, or circumvent reasonable usage and security limits.
  • Extract another team’s information or use automated access in a way that violates these terms, privacy rights, or service safeguards.
  • Misrepresent your identity, authority, affiliation, or rights in submitted material.

We may investigate suspected misuse and restrict access or remove material when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these terms, or comply with law.

Vision and experimental features

Choreo Vision provides experimental, AI-assisted rehearsal review. Tracking, identity associations, measurements, and other analysis may be incomplete or incorrect, especially when people overlap, leave the camera view, or move through changing lighting and camera conditions.

Review outputs before relying on them. They are not validated motion capture, a guarantee of performance accuracy, an official judging result, or a substitute for human supervision and safe rehearsal practices.

Features marked “Coming soon,” including Avatar Capture where shown that way, are not promises of current availability or a guaranteed release date.

Availability and paid services

We may develop, change, limit, or discontinue features, and access may depend on eligibility, invitations, or pilot availability. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device, or that experimental features will become permanent.

Where practicable, we will give reasonable notice of a material discontinuation that affects stored team content. Maintain your own originals of important recordings, audio, and choreography records; Choreo is not a guaranteed archival service.

If we offer paid services, we will disclose applicable prices, billing, renewal, and cancellation terms before you agree to pay. These terms alone do not authorize a charge or establish a subscription. Any refund or cancellation rights required by law remain available.

Leaving, deletion, and suspension

You may stop using Choreo at any time. A dancer who leaves a team loses access to that team’s materials, but leaving does not automatically erase the team’s roster entry, shared choreography, recordings, or the dancer’s account. A team administrator can issue a fresh invitation when appropriate.

For account or workspace deletion requests, contact directors@nddl.com. We may verify your identity and authority, coordinate with a team administrator, and explain effects on linked NDDL services before proceeding. Personal information requests are handled under our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We may suspend or end access for material violations of these terms, security risks, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service. Where appropriate and practicable, we will give notice and an opportunity to address the issue. We may act immediately when needed to prevent harm or comply with law.

Choreo’s intellectual property

Choreo’s software, branding, website design, and other materials provided by NDDL are owned by NDDL or its licensors. Subject to these terms, you may use the service for its intended purposes. No other ownership or license is granted except as required by applicable law or an applicable open-source license.

Third-party services and links may have their own terms. Choreo does not grant permission to use third-party content beyond the rights its owner has provided.

Copyright and content concerns

If you believe material in Choreo violates copyright, privacy, or another right, email directors@nddl.com. Identify the material and where it appears, explain your concern and your authority to raise it, and include information we can use to contact you.

We may request additional information, restrict the disputed material, or contact the uploader as appropriate. We may terminate accounts of repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances. Do not submit knowingly false complaints.

Disclaimers and legal rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Choreo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, continuously available, or free from data loss.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, NDDL is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, such as lost profits or business opportunities. You remain responsible for reviewing choreography, analysis, permissions, and rehearsal conditions.

These limitations do not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing in these terms removes non-waivable consumer, privacy, or other legal rights.

Changes, questions, and disputes

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the date above and provide reasonable notice of material changes where practicable, and obtain renewed agreement where required. Changes do not retroactively remove rights you already have.

If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. If you have a question, complaint, or dispute, contact directors@nddl.com so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not require mandatory arbitration or waive your right to participate in a class action.
