Who we are
Choreo is provided by Dance to the Rhythm of Your Heart, doing business as National Desi Dance League (“NDDL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information through the Choreo website, application, and related support services.
Other NDDL services may have their own notices. If you use a linked NDDL account in Choreo, some account information is shared with those services as described below. Contact us at directors@nddl.com with questions.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, account identifiers, authentication information, and settings. Authentication is handled through our service providers.
- Team and rehearsal information: team names, organization details, rosters, dancer names and profile details, invitations, memberships, cast assignments, formations, stage layouts, timing, and other information you or your team provide.
- Uploaded media: audio, rehearsal videos, file details, and information about people visible or audible in those recordings.
- Analysis information: when video analysis is requested, detected performer positions, movement tracks, visual features used to maintain tracking continuity, and associations a team administrator makes between tracks and roster members.
- Technical information: pages visited, device and browser information, performance measurements, request logs, IP addresses where recorded by our infrastructure, and security or diagnostic events.
- Communications: information you send when you contact us for support, report an issue, or make a privacy request.
We receive information directly from you, automatically when you use Choreo, and from authorized team administrators or linked NDDL services. A captain may import a roster or invite a dancer before that dancer creates or uses a Choreo account.
How we use information
We use information to provide accounts and team workspaces; save choreography and media; send sign-in codes and invitations; manage access; deliver requested analysis; answer support requests; maintain reliability and security; investigate misuse; and meet legal obligations.
We may use usage and performance information to understand which features work well and improve the service. We do not currently use uploaded rehearsal media or choreography to train AI models. If that practice changes, we will explain the change and obtain any consent required before using that content for the new purpose.
Team access and linked accounts
Team administrators manage their roster, invitations, and access to team materials. They can see information needed to administer membership, including the sign-in email linked to a joined dancer. Dancers receive access based on their current membership and assignments.
Choreo and the NDDL portal may use the same sign-in identity for team owners. A credential change to that shared identity can affect both services. Choreo workspace contact information is separate from sign-in credentials.
Leaving a team removes your access. It does not automatically delete your account, your roster entry, recordings in which you appear, or the team’s choreography. Removing access cannot recall files or information someone has already downloaded.
Cookies, storage, and analytics
Choreo uses cookies and similar browser storage for sign-in sessions, preferences, cached workspace information, and other service functions. Disabling essential storage may prevent the app from working correctly.
The marketing site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which Vercel describes as cookie-free, and performance monitoring. Hosting and security systems may still process technical request information. Links or embedded content from other services are subject to those services’ privacy practices.
We do not currently change our collection practices in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals. If we introduce tracking that requires consent, we will provide the required notice and choices.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, support active accounts and workspaces, restore archived material where available, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information, why it is needed, and applicable requirements.
Deleting or archiving an item may first remove it from active use rather than immediately erase every copy. Backups, security records, legal holds, and material still needed in a team workspace may require separate handling. Contact us to request account deletion or removal of personal information; we will explain relevant limits and handle the request as required by law.
Your choices and requests
You can update supported profile details and sign-in information in account settings, and dancers can leave a team. You can also email directors@nddl.com to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information we hold about you.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, appeal a decision, or complain to a privacy regulator. We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting, and some rights are subject to exceptions. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights protected by applicable law.
If your request concerns a team-managed roster or recording, we may need to coordinate with the team administrator. Your personal-account request does not automatically authorize deletion of an entire team workspace or another person’s information.
Younger users and team uploads
Dance teams may include minors. Team administrators are responsible for having the permissions required to provide roster information, recordings, and other material about team members, including parent or guardian permission where applicable.
If you are a parent or guardian with a question about a child’s information, contact directors@nddl.com. If we learn that information has been collected without consent required by applicable children’s privacy law, we will review the situation and take appropriate action, including restricting access or deleting information where required. A team invitation or acceptance of our terms does not replace legally required parental consent.
Security and international processing
We use access controls and other safeguards intended to protect personal information. No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Keep passwords and verification codes private, and tell us if you believe an account has been compromised.
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those requirements apply.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as Choreo or our practices change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required. This policy describes our practices; it does not waive your legal rights or turn use of the website into consent for processing that requires a separate choice.
For privacy questions or requests, email directors@nddl.com. See our Terms of Service for the rules governing use of Choreo.
